Massive Workforce Deployed

Deputy Commissioner Wasim was accompanied by sixteen administrative and municipal officers, including the Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Ms. Zoya Baloch and the Chief Officer District Council Mr. Asadullah Hariya. To ensure efficiency of the drainage process, more than 400 workers, 22 supervisors, and four sucker machines were dispatched all over the city.

Field Teams and Traffic Police on High Alert

All officers were briefed to stay in their posts in the field until the operation was over. Facility managers, encroachment, and building inspectors were also assigned the role of maintaining and ensuring that all operations went on without a hitch. On the other hand, the traffic police were ordered to regulate traffic on main junctions as well as roads in order to disrupt them as much as possible.

On-Site Inspection and Public Assurance

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wasim also physically toured different sectors on streets, roads, and colonies as well within the city area and outside of it. His primary focus was the elimination of rainwater in the areas that would be a nuisance to the public. He further defended all the departments, noting that they were all on an alert and doing all they could to contain the situation.

System: functional and monitored

DC Wasim further asserted to the Ag Lanka team that all the disposal systems were in a sound state and always kept under observation by professional officers. He only explained that they hoped for the improvement of the situation soon and called on citizens to thank for the efforts of the staff and the workers engaged in the drainage.

Restoration of Electricity Supply

In the same duel, besides other drainage efforts put in place, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) started the process of restoring electricity supply, most of which had been a casualty of the heavy rains.
