Khyber Pakhtunkhwa New Hydropower Agreement With PESCO: On Thursday, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) entered into an agreement to sell electricity from 2 hydropower projects of 12.8 MegaWatts built from their own resources with Peshawar Electric Supply Company.

In this regard, a ceremony regarding the sale of electricity generated by 10.2 MW of Jabori Hydro Power Plant in Mansehra District and 2.6 MW of Machai Hydro Power Plant in Mardan District to (Peshawar Electric Supply Company) was held at Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) House Peshawar. Secretary’s Remarks
Speaking during the event, Secretary Energy and Power Nisar Ahmad Khan said that this accord was a step forward towards developing the energy sector in the province and that he would be making more deals soon concerning completed power projects whose generating capacity is already available in PEDO for purchase . This will help bring in billions to the region annually , he added .
